You will also consider how parliament operates and discuss the key relationships between the Prime Minister, Cabinet, Civil Servants and back bench MP’s in terms of who holds the real power within Government.
At A2 there are a further two units, one covering Political Ideologies where you will consider Conservatism, Socialism, Fascism and liberalism and one covering The Government of the USA where you gain an insight into the relationships between the Congress, President, Supreme Court and develop an understanding of how the US Constitution still exists today.
Within Politics there will be many opportunities for argument and debate when exploring the political issues.
