The Gallery Youth Project
The Gallery Youth Project is a young people's resource in Alnwick which provides housing, advice and drop-in facilities. By investing in design to improve the Annual Report, it has been possible to use it as a marketing tool. We try a new theme each year - last year's was a calendar (see picture below); the year before a spoof newspaper (which was suspiciously like a Guardian!).
The newspaper also included a free cd of music from local bands as well as the usual financial reports.
The calendar Annual Report was large format (A3+) and could be seen in offices all over the north-east!
Gallery Website
This was launched last year (2009) and has proved a great success. It was intended to facilitate young peoples' access to important information and was to be reached in no more than two or three 'clicks'.
The site has a fully-functioning updatable back-end to keep the info bang up to date.
